When is the Open Enrollment Period for health insurance?
  • When you first turn 65 (3 months before and 3 months after)
  • For Advantage Plans and Drug Plans usually every October- Dec 7th
  • Or you may qualify for a special election period which allows you to enroll at any point throughout the year. 
  •  
  • Never,  there’s is no extra cost for using a licensed agent.  In most cases it should save you money by using one.
  • We recommend 1 year in advance or age 64 to have a plan in place.
  • Your premium is the monthly cost you pay to the carrier.
  • Your deductible is a cost associated with claims, meaning you only pay a deductible when a claim or procedure has been performed
  • Depends on the plan and carrier, that’s something you or your agent should review before switching to any plan.
